Princess Alice Adoption Home is a facility of Johannesburg Child Welfare providing safety for up to 30 babies at a time - each of whom have been either consented for adoption or abandoned. Thompsons Travel volunteers at the facility helping to ensure each baby and toddler receives the affection needed for them to bond with others, as well as engaging in stimulating activities.

Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation of clothes and toiletries to Princess Alice Adoption Home. Donations like yours enable us to do what we do – care for up to 30 babies (aged newborn to two years old) in our nursery. More than anything, Princess Alice is a place of hope and thanks to our friends and supporters we are able to keep hope afloat in a healthy and loving environment. Thank you once again for making it possible for us to do what we do. Lisa Lazarus, Home Coordinator - Princess Alice Adoption Home

St Anne’s Home offers a sanctuary for abused women and street children providing socially relevant opportunities that consciously involve them in their society and cultivate a mature perspective on what it means to be a part of a community.

Thompsons Travel has done much for St Anne's and this includes excursions to Giraffe House and Crocodile Farm for our moms and children, donating mattresses for all our beds, making a collage of children's handprints on Mandela Day, as well as providing transport for our annual Family Day. For the past three years, the employees of Thompsons Travel staff have been volunteering three hours of their time every Thursday in our crèche, which makes it possible for St Anne's to focus on our staff meeting in a relaxed manner, knowing that our children are well cared for and by people we can trust.  We are forever grateful to Thompsons Travel for their CSI initiative as it contributes meaningfully to our organisation and the lives of our moms and their children.” Joy Lange (Director) St Anne’s Home
