Liquids, Aerosols and Gels [LAGs] Regulations

All LAGs should be carried in containers with a capacity not greater than 100ml each (or the equivalent in other volumetric measurements, e.g. fluid ounces)

Containers with LAGs should be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity of 1 litre. The containers must fit comfortably within the transparent plastic bag which should be completely closed.

Each passenger is permitted to carry only one such bag which is to be presented separately for screening.

All conventional security controls and checks, including random hand searches of passengers and cabin bags are applicable.

Exceptions are allowed for medications, baby foods and special dietary requirements.

Security Tamper-Proof Evidence Bags (STEB) - The ICAO Regulation:

LAGs purchased at airport retail outlets or on board aircraft during the journey should be allowed through security screening points provided that:

They're carried in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag.

They have been protected from unlawful interference by a process of supply chain security, from the warehouse to the airport retail outlets and while in stock or on display at those outlets.
